So Many Aaahhh...
Busy, busy, busy!
Managed to get a timeslice off from the frantic schedule so to drop in this piece. A little news piece from Zenit announcing the upcoming visit of the papal envoy to Singapore:
Papal Envoy Chosen for Singapore Event
VATICAN CITY, JUNE 13, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI named Cardinal Renato Martino his special envoy to Singapore, to attend the celebrations June 21-23 marking the 25th anniversary of the country's diplomatic relations with the Holy See. The Vatican press office last Saturday announced the appointment, and included a letter from the Pope, written in Latin and dated May 18, to his special envoy. Cardinal Martino, who is president of the pontifical councils for Justice and Peace and for Migrants and Travelers, will be accompanied to Singapore by a mission, including Monsignor Eugene Vaz, vicar general of the Archdiocese of Singapore. According to the Vatican agency Fides, Catholics in Singapore number about 166,000 out of a total population of 4.5 million.

So now I know we have 166,000 Catholics! I always wondered how many we were after those years of RCIA and adult baptisms...
