Something

Something about today's 1st reading prompted this entry from me. Something that links the actions of Abraham to that of what my ministry may sometimes demands.

Something about giving what is precious for the sake of God's will or plans. Something about being tested to prove the quality of a person through such adversity and hardships. Something about refining the character of a person so that one might walk more closely in God's ways, that has nothing to do with being tempted or entice to do wrong.

Something about Abraham's faith on Mt. Moriah that has inspired countless generations to a faith in God and a commitment to God that goes beyond the ordinary. Something about what Paul said to the Romans: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Rom 8: 28) .
